Alternative Medicine: Philadelphia
(PRWEB) May 14, 2005 — Alternative medical facilities and techniques in treating pain without harmful drugs and surgery are plentiful in Pennsylvania, especially Philadelphia, according to Dr. Owen Rogal, a pioneer in pain management and permanent pain relief.
Dr. Rogal praised ABC’s weeklong network series about pain and today’s pain management methods throughout the U.S. He emphasized, however, that many successful treatment centers go unheralded and unnoticed because of the “confusion and misinformation” relating to pain and its various treatments.
At The Pain Center, Dr. Rogal and several of his medical associates utilize a special technique known as “the RFS Treatment” which essentially focuses on the muscle—rather than a bone or nerve—as the source of most common back and body pains.
Prior to such treatment, however, he gives his pain patients a simple “Novocain test”, a tiny dose of the drug which serves as an “advance feedback” to recognizing ultimate permanent pain relief. This technique has been qualified and sanctioned in such medical publications as “The Journal of Rheumatology.”
Dr. Rogal says that many fine and experienced physicians and most hospitals continue to suggest various invasive treatments for pain, including surgery and potent pain medicines which he and his colleagues at The Pain Center, avoid with disdain.
“With the thousands of contented patients we have accounted for at The Pain Center, we just know without hesitation that there is a better and more effective way to relieve pain than surgery, “Dr. Rogal asserts.
